Meet & Greet

Our Meet & Greet is opportunity for parents and carers to get to know our school and meet the staff.

Harmony Week

Date: Term 1

Harmony Week is an annual event that celebrates Australia’s rich cultural diversity and the positive contributions it makes to the community. It’s a time to recognise and appreciate the different cultures, languages, and traditions that make Australia unique and vibrant. Through activities and events, Harmony Week promotes inclusiveness, respect, and a sense of belonging for everyone.

NAIDOC

Date: Term 2

Lansdowne Public School celebrates NAIDOC Week each year to honour Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history, culture, and achievements. It’s a time for students to learn about and celebrate First Nations cultures through community events and activities.

Public Education Week

Date: Term 3

Public Education Week is a time for schools to welcome families and the community, showing the amazing learning happening. Families are encouraged to join our open days and events to see how schools ignite every child’s potential with creative teaching, dedicated staff, and inclusive environments.

Book Week

Date: Term 3

Book Week is a special time at our school where we celebrate a love of reading. Students take part in fun activities throughout the week including the Book Character Parade. Our annual Book Fair is held during this week.

Presentation Day

Date: Term 4

Presentation Day is an important event we hold at the end of Term 4 to celebrate the hard work and achievements of our students throughout the school year. During this special day, students receive awards and recognition for their academic progress, effort, and participation in various activities. It’s a time to acknowledge not just grades, but also improvement, creativity, leadership, and sportsmanship.
